Wilma's original designs have evolved out of her heritage with the Tsimshian Nation. Wilma has produced this work to honour the people of the Pacific North Coast of British Columbia. The buttons are made from shell: abalone, mother of pearl, akoya. Some are made from deer antler or bone.

"The Orca is the symbol of the Tsimshian family who adopted me. I decided that I wanted to create a wall hanging to honour my connection to them. I hand dyed fabric, selected and cut out the areas that I wanted and created this one of a kind picture of orcas at play."
